Description: Help clients determine elegibility for Foodshare Assistance via the phone and internet. Duties may include answering questions, data entry, and returning phone calls. Hours: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 2 hour shifts per week. Through food and financial donations and volunteer support, Second Harvest Foodbank acquires and distributes food to 350 partner agencies, including food pantries, shelters and meal sites, in 16 counties. From July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010, Second Harvest Foodbank distributed 8.1 million pounds of food. It is one of 200 affiliates of Feeding America, the nation's largest charitable hunger-relief organization, engaging our country in the fight to end hunger. We have a break room that you have access to, but please label anything you bring.The warehouse is kept at 60 degrees, so please dress in warm layers. No children under the age of 12.Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.Please do not bring in bags, purses, etc. We so not have a safe place to keep your items.
